Abstract
Effective Dimensional Cosmology: The Geometric Foundation of Existence — A Unified Explanation via 3.35D Stable Transport Band, 1.68D Path Collisions, and 3.999...D Asymptotic Universe Abstract: This paper proposes a comprehensive theoretical framework, "Effective Dimensional Cosmology," which describes all physical phenomena—from elementary particles to macroscopic cosmic structures and consciousness—as dynamic transformations of effective dimensionality $D_{\text{eff}}$. Rooted in Bulk Network Cosmology (BNC), the theory redefines existence not as a fixed state in 3D or 4D space, but as a geometric transition process dependent on phase $\phi$ and spatial stiffness $n$. The work presents three landmark discoveries: Fermions maintain a geometric equilibrium point at $D_{\text{eff}} \approx 3.35D$ (the Stable Transport Band), where they simultaneously exhibit particle individuality and wave extension. Within this band, trajectories converge to a fractal dimension of $1.68D$. The superposition of independent trajectories ($1.68 \times 2 = 3.36D$) slightly exceeds the spatial capacity ($3.35D$), generating a "geometric friction" of $0.01D$. This friction is identified as the fundamental origin of inertial mass, gravity, and the fine structure constant $\alpha$. On a cosmological scale, the universe asymptotically approaches an ideal $4.0D$ state but remains at an incomplete "3.999...D" status due to stiffness residuals. This "dimensional rebound" is identified as the physical mechanism behind the arrow of time and dark energy. Finally, life and consciousness are modeled as "dimensional transformers" bridging 3.0D (definite observation) and 4.0D (potentiality). The paper provides specific, falsifiable predictions for next-generation CMB observations and neuroscientific experiments, offering a unified geometric solution to the oldest paradoxes in physics.
