Energy Interaction Slit Model - Double slit experiment interpretation via energy transfer
Abstract
This work presents the Energy Interaction Slit (EIS) Model, a novel quantum framework interpreting the double-slit experiment through a physically explicit, 4D spacetime field perspective. The photon is modeled as a generative electromagnetic excitation evolving as a self-propagating wavefront, interacting actively with slit atomic dipoles. This interaction modulates the photon’s amplitude and phase, unifying classical diffraction and quantum interference within a QED-consistent, thermodynamically informed approach.A key innovation is the integration of entropy gradients and information flow as deterministic drivers of wavefunction collapse, represented by a local λ-field. The model yields experimentally falsifiable predictions for fringe shifts and decoherence due to controlled material, thermal, and informational perturbations at the slits. This framework provides a physically grounded alternative to observer-centric quantum collapse interpretations, bridging quantum optics, field theory, and information thermodynamics. The EIS Model deepens the conceptual foundation of quantum measurement and offers a new avenue for experimental exploration of collapse and decoherence phenomena.
