Abstract

This repository provides the data and computational materials supporting a rate-based diagnostic framework for climate response. It contains a merged, analysis-ready record of global mean surface temperature anomalies and total effective radiative forcing, together with the scripts used to compute diagnostic sensitivities and reproduce all figures in the associated manuscript. The archive includes unchanged copies of two publicly available datasets—annual global mean surface temperature anomalies and component-resolved effective radiative forcing—sourced from the Indicators of Global Climate Change(IGCC) database \cite{Forster2024}, Zenodo DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15744430. These files are redistributed for completeness and reproducibility; the scientific contribution of this repository lies in the construction of the merged temperature–forcing dataset and the diagnostic analysis built upon it. All processing steps are deterministic and implemented using standard Python workflows. This archive is provided as a stable, citable reference for readers wishing to verify, reuse, or extend the diagnostics introduced in the manuscript. Citation Verma, S. K. (2026).
