Abstract

PURPOSE is to determine the prevalence of glaucoma in an adult population in rural central Tanzania.We report the prevalence of glaucoma in a survey of ocular disease among adults in central Tanzania. To study the prevalence of OAG and ACG, detailed definitions must be used that depend on ophthalmic examinations performed by highly skilled ophthalmologists.
