LX Cognitive Engineering Stack – Negative Design List & Failure Archetypes

Abstract This paper formalizes the Negative Design List of the LX Cognitive Engineering Stack, specifying classes of engineering objectives that are structurally non-viable under CESI (Co-Evolutionary Science of Intelligence) and LNMSI (Law of Non-Merger of Super-Institutions). It further introduces a Failure Archetype Map, linking prohibited design goals to recurrent historical and systemic collapse patterns. The document establishes negative design as a first-class engineering discipline at the civilization–AI–institution interface.
