Abstract

**A Causal Framework for Civilizational Formation, Collapse, and Transition** --- **1. Primary Causal Necessity**Every rigorous causal analysis must begin with the acceptance of a primary causal necessity (the existence of a superior architect of existence, which religions refer to as God). This is not a theological, religious, ideological, or... claim, but a logical requirement: without an initial cause, no coherent causal chain can be constructed.Empirical science, due to its methodological limitations, is neither capable of proving nor disproving this primary cause; therefore, its denial lacks rational justification. **2. Nature and Immutable Laws**Nature operates as a law-governed system created by this superior architect, functioning through stable and immutable laws (such as gravity). These laws form the structural backbone of causality and continuity in the world and the foundational basis of the sciences. **3. The Material Origin of the Universe**Within the domain of empirical science, the material trajectory of the universe begins with the Big Bang. This event marks the emergence of matter and energy under pre-existing natural laws. (Accepting the Big Bang is a scientific imperative and proof of the necessity for a primary cause; the only disagreement is about its nature, with religions viewing it as metaphysical and science viewing it as physical.) **4. Human Emergence**Within this lawful system, life develops, and humans emerge through biological evolution.Humans remain part of nature while simultaneously possessing cognitive capacities to perceive and analyze causal relationships. **5. Survival-Centered Nature of Nature**Nature is fundamentally structured around survival and competition. In its raw form, it is indifferent, harsh, and constantly threatens the continuity of human existence. **6. Rational Departure from Pure Nature**To ensure collective survival, humans are compelled to transcend purely instinctual competition and consciously construct cooperative rules and constraints. **7. Ethics**At this stage, ethics emerges as a survival-oriented framework.Ethics represents the rational alignment of individual behavior with collective survival interests. **8. Religion and Ideology**Across history, and depending on time, geography, and culture, ethical frameworks become codified as religious and ideological doctrines. Therefore, religion and ideology represent the historical and symbolic manifestation of survival-based ethics. **9. Government**To enforce these doctrines, governance structures emerge.Government serves as the executive instrument of religious and ideological law;religious and ideological law is derived from ethics;and ethics is rooted in biological survival. **10. Creation of Social Structures by the State for Fulfilling Duties**The state, using governance tools, creates social structures to fulfill its duties. **11. Social Structures**These structures determine an individual's social position in a society based on social benefits (including education, employment, family, etc.). **12. System Dynamism with Preservation of Causal Relation and Feedback**From this point onward, the system, while preserving the primary causal relation, receives feedback from the complex interactions within itself. These feedback mechanisms cause variations in the intensity of causal relations. For example, an issue like economics, despite similar cultures in two countries, may experience different effects and behaviors that appear contradictory on the surface. However, in reality, this indicates the system's dynamism and the profound influence of human free will and agency in affecting social structure and demonstrating the social standing of different individuals in society within this complex chain. **13. Operational Challenges and Theory-Execution Distinction**The following challenges exist on the path to operationalizing this framework:- The methodology for measuring the "intensity and weakness" of causal relations requires more precision.- The empirical testing of the entire framework remains a significant challenge.- A lack of concrete examples of applying this model to analyze a specific civilization. These challenges are delegated to the execution phase in accordance with the **fundamental distinction between the theoretical and executive components**. The execution phase inherently belongs to the domain of empirical sciences, is error-prone, correctable, and evolutionary in nature. **14. Civilizational Collapse**What is visible to most observers in the collapse of a civilization is only the tip of the iceberg. The deeper causes lie beneath the surface:1. Worldview and false beliefs2. Corrupt thoughts, speech, and actions (wrong policies)3. Ineffective institutions and budget-consuming organizations4. Rent-seeking and corruption within the system5. Budget deficit6. Liquidity creation (high-powered money and the money multiplier)7. Inflation and rising prices8. Unemployment and poverty9. Social harms10. Social collapse **15. Causal Interpretation**This causal chain demonstrates that phenomena such as poverty, inflation, and social collapse are not root causes but final consequences.Without correcting the foundational layers, surface-level interventions remain temporary and ineffective. **16. The Necessity of Civilizational Transition**Escaping this trajectory requires a gradual and rational transition from ideology-driven civilizations based on distortion and illusion toward a civilization grounded in biological reality and causal coherence, a transition which differs for each society according to its culture and social structure. **17. Angelism as a Paradigmatic Framework**Within this context, Angelism is introduced as a comprehensive civilizational paradigmatic framework. Its theoretical structure is logically closed (the structure is never without correction; only the type of correction is internal. For instance, with the advancement of science, every part of this chain in the execution phase is continuously optimized through empirical science, and with the optimization of each part, this causal chain also improves) and causally coherent, while its practical implementation is explicitly human, empirical, error-prone, correctable, and evolutionary in nature. **18. Angelism as an Evolutionary Step in the History of Thought**Angelism is not the end of human history, but rather **a continuation of the evolutionary process in the history of thought**. By offering greater coherence compared to previous paradigms, this framework will inspire future generations to continue the path of intellectual evolution. Angelism opens the way for subsequent steps in civilizational evolution and presents itself not as an endpoint, but as the starting point for **a bridge (for which the blueprint, the architect, and the tools for its construction exist, but whose concrete realization depends on the will, agency, and action of the executor from Section 12 in the execution phase) toward a future of more coherent and biologically-grounded thought**.
