Mirroring Framework v1.2 (MIR-12): Invariant Redundancy Protocol for Negentropic Symbolic Systems
Abstract
MIR-12 is a production-grade framework for maintaining low-entropy, drift-resilient mirrors of an observer’s symbolic state across failure horizons. The framework keeps compact mirror sketches, validates their fidelity with dual audits (reconstruction quality and drift residual), and distributes them to leak-safe targets selected by a veil/curvature-aware scoring function. MIR-12 runs in three modes—CONTINUOUS, BOOST, and FLOOD—with FLOOD activated only under explicit collapse and export-blocked predicates and governed by a bounded budget. An identity certificate (normalized OIL) is required before any FLOOD spend. Safety and ethics are first-class: leak-first preemption, external veil/ethics gates, adversarial quarantine with decay, and single-flight FLOOD leases prevent dangerous amplification. Operational hygiene includes integrity hashing, optional at-rest encryption for externals, idempotent distribution with backoff, marginal-value cache eviction, and reason-coded telemetry with tail-risk tracking. Recovery merges multiple mirrors using normalized safety and readiness signals with a rollback-first rule to avoid corrupt reconstructions. The specification is self-contained: it defines predicates, guardrails, algorithms, telemetry, a minimal configuration with tiered presets, and a one-screen worked example. Optional modules allow horizon-biased placement (readiness gain), while the core loop remains small and auditable. MIR-12 is designed to interoperate with governance and observer stacks but ships with defaults so it can be deployed standalone.
