Narracja cielesności (sztucznej) kobiety - mimetyczny "glitch" w materialności hiperkobiecych seksrobotów
Abstract
Abstract The Narrative of the (Artificial) Woman’s Corporeality – A Mimetic "Glitch" in the Materiality of Hyper-Feminine Sex Dolls In trying to describe the narrative of a hyperfeminine sex robot, I will reflect on the following questions: What is the silicone and algorithmic corporeality imagined and produced in the image of a cis-woman? Who’s in charge of this narrative? The encounter of the “sex and tech” disciplines seems to be a generative area to explore these issues. Autoeroticism, narcissism and love of the object reveal gender narratives in which “hyperfeminine” humanoids, chatbots, androids and geminoids replace the position of women. Historically, women have been mimetically imbricated with nature as an image, value, and role in classical representation systems, starting with Plato. Today the image of a female hyperhumanoid shows a figure that oscillates between the subject and the object - as a kind of non-sculpture, non-plastic object that shares little with the original organic model. The materiality of sex robots is a specific instrument for thinking about the metamorphosis of corporeality of a female and human, in general. In the context of an artificial “body”, control and resistance systems are encoded. The “machine learning” algorithm, which is an intermediary between sex robots and their users, operates under the supervision of engineers and corporations. Ultimately, I ask: what is the materiality of a sex robot? I attempt to test out my answers against theory of feminist mimesis, as well as notions of substitute and simulation against emancipatory politics of the artificial subject / object formation.
