Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital communication has transformed howEnglish speakers construct meaning in online environments. This evolution haspopularized the use of symbolic units such as emoji, GIFs, reaction icons, hashtags,and expressive typographic forms which now function as essential elements ofdiscourse.
