Soliton Model of Consciousness with π-Quantization: A Geometric Bridge Between Stability, Phenomenology, and the Inverse Venturi Effect
Abstract
We present a refined theoretical model in which states of consciousness are identified withstable solitonic solutions of a fundamental activation field Ψ defined on a discrete geometricsubstrate, the Fundamental Network Ω21. By reducing the description to a minimal two-component model, we derive a dimensionless connectivity parameter σ governing the internalcoherence of the soliton. Crucially, we demonstrate that σ is not a continuous variable but aquantized projection of a discrete topological invariant: σ = n · π/12, where n = d_GH + d_GFcounts the number of active internal channels in the six-dimensional hypercube Q6. Thecritical threshold σcrit = π/4 (n = 3) emerges as a mathematical necessity from the geometricphase (Berry phase) condition Φ_B = n · π/3, where n = 3 corresponds to Φ_B = π (half aquantum, marginal stability) and n = 6 corresponds to Φ_B = 2π (full spinor rotation, maximum coherence σ_max = π/2).This quantization leads to a discrete, phenomenologically significant spectrum of sevenstates: unconscious (n = 0), somnambulism (n = 1), phenomenal (n = 2), reflexive (n = 3,bifurcation), hyper-coherent (n = 4-5), pure consciousness (n = 6, theoretical limit), andpsychotic (n ≥ 4 with impaired dissipation). We further introduce the Inverse VenturiEffect in informational systems—the phenomenon whereby acceleration of the reading pro-cess leads to an increase in topological impedance due to the thermodynamic cost of errorcorrection (Landauer’s principle)—and show that this mechanism elegantly explains thephenomenological “density” of lucid dreams and the subjective time dilation observed indeep meditative states. We propose operationalization of the effective parameter σ_eff fromresting-state fMRI functional connectivity graphs, with a parameter-free calibration fixedat σ = 5π/24, and formulate ten specific, falsifiable neurophenomenological hypotheses.
