TNA in Sports Medicine and Performance Systems: Throughput, Incoherence, and Athletic Stability
Abstract
Sports performance and athlete health are traditionally modeled through energy metabolism, training load, and recovery cycles. This paper proposes a TNA-based framework, viewing athletes as open systems where performance coherence requires continuous throughput (Ψ) to discharge incoming incoherence (G). When G exceeds Ψ, incoherence (ℵ) accumulates, leading to fatigue, overtraining, injury, or performance plateau. Empirical phenomena—from elite athlete burnout to overuse injuries—are reframed as throughput saturation rather than purely biomechanical failures. The model is falsifiable, predictive, and integrates training, recovery, nutrition, and psychological load under a unified framework.
