APPLIED BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES: BIOTECHNOLOGY, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS AND HEALTH PERSPECTIVES
Abstract
Biological sciences have increasingly gained importance in our time, not only through fundamental research but also through their direct applications in fields such as health, environment, nutrition, and industry. Advances in biotechnology, microbial engineering, and synthetic biology are providing new opportunities for both academic research and industrial practice. This book aims to present current approaches in these areas, offering the reader a comprehensive and scientifically grounded perspective. The chapters focus on topics such as the production of specific biological compounds, their potential health effects, and the methods by which they can be produced using biotechnological tools. Subjects including the design of microbial production systems, enhancement of efficiency through genetic engineering, and optimization of production processes are covered in depth. The book also includes discussions on how these processes can be evaluated in clinical and industrial contexts. The main purpose of this work is to serve as a reliable and in-depth resource for researchers, graduate students, and other readers interested in applied biological sciences. It aims to strengthen theoretical knowledge while also offering practical insight. Each topic has been addressed in a structured and accessible manner, supported by relevant scientific literature. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all authors and contributors who made this book possible. Their scientific efforts and careful work have turned this volume into more than just a compilation of information, it is a valuable reference that contributes to the ongoing development of the field.
