White Dwarf Host Systems: Observational Evidence of FHSD Succession Survival
Abstract
The succession framework predicts that Fusion Hot Sub Dwarf (FHSD) companions can survive primary stellar death and potentially accrete ejected material. White dwarf systems hosting sub-stellar companions provide direct observational evidence of this survival mechanism. This study catalogs FHSD objects in confirmed white dwarf systems, demonstrating that the succession framework describes observed phenomena rather than theoretical predictions alone.
