Photon-Traffic Conditioning of Space-Phase: A Tidally Locked Lunar Near–Far Side Differential Test in the SP3 Framework
Abstract
If photon traffic conditions the saturation and memory state of space-phase (SP3), thenregions of persistently high photon traffic should exhibit measurably different transportproperties than photon-poor regions. The Moon, being tidally locked to Earth, provides anatural long-lived geometric asymmetry: the near side receives solar illumination pluspersistent Earthshine, terrestrial infrared, and terrestrial radio leakage, while the far side isshielded from Earth-origin photon traffic. This paper proposes a dimensionlessconditioning ratio that integrates photon traffic with an exponential relaxation kernelcharacterized by a memory timescale τ. The near–far difference is predicted to be nonzeroif is comparable to or longer than lunar-orientation persistence, implying a stableconditioning gradient in the lunar space-phase envelope. Candidate observables includedifferential phase delay and coherence effects in Earth–Moon laser ranging and radio signalpropagation, as well as hysteresis-like transport signatures that cannot be reduced to localmaterial differences. The proposal is framed to be falsifiable using differential analysis ofnear-side versus far-side paths, emphasizing null-hypothesis controls and correction forknown thermal, geometric, and instrumental effects.
