A MOBILE TECHNOLOGY-BASED MODEL FOR PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION OF STUDENTS
Abstract
This paper explores the design and implementation of an integrated mobile technology-based model for student personal identification within higher education institutions. Traditional identification methods, such as plastic ID cards, are increasingly prone to loss, forgery, and administrative inefficiency. The proposed model shifts the identification process to smartphones, utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC), dynamic QR codes, and biometric authentication (facial recognition and fingerprint scanning) to ensure high security and convenience. The architecture comprises a mobile application for students, a secure centralized server using JWT and TLS 1.3 encryption, and an administrative interface for real-time monitoring. The research highlights the model's advantages in terms of cost-effectiveness, speed, and environmental impact while addressing potential limitations such as internet connectivity and device accessibility. The findings suggest that transitioning to a mobile-based digital ID system significantly enhances the digital transformation of educational infrastructure and streamlines attendance management..
