ZIPPED: Unification of Galactic Dynamics and Cosmic Expansion – A Theory of Variable Spacetime Stiffness as an Alternative to the Dark Sector
Abstract
Description / Abstract:This manuscript introduces the ZIPPED framework, a fully unified cosmological theory where matter is modeled as topological knots in spacetime. The intrinsic stiffness of these knots ($\sigma_k$) generates a macroscopic elastic field ($\Lambda_Z$) that governs both galactic dynamics and cosmic expansion. Unlike the standard $\Lambda$CDM model, which relies on undetected Dark Matter and Dark Energy, ZIPPED replaces these components with a single, physically motivated mechanism: matter-dependent spacetime stiffness. Key features of the framework include: Micro-Foundation: Matter as topological knots with intrinsic micro-stiffness. Delta-Offset ($\Delta$): A fundamental, geometrically derived coupling factor linking microscopic and cosmic scales. Galactic Dynamics: Flat rotation curves naturally emerge without Dark Matter. Cosmology: The Hubble expansion rate ($H_0 \approx 76.6$ km/s/Mpc) and structure formation in the early universe (CMB peaks) are explained without Dark Energy or Cold Dark Matter. Mathematical Formalism: A modified Einstein field equation where the cosmological term is a function of local knot density, introducing the concept of topological elasticity of spacetime. The manuscript includes all derivations, field equations, and numerical illustrations necessary to reproduce the results. It represents the exclusive intellectual property of Michel Zwanenburg. Attachments / Supplementary Material: Full LaTeX source of the manuscript, including equations, tables, and references. Table of predicted vs. observed galactic rotation curves. Descriptions of mechanisms for CMB acoustic peaks in the early universe. Notes on Delta derivation from proton-to-Planck scale ratios and holographic principles. Optional figures illustrating knot topology, stiffness gradients, and cosmic structure formation (can be added in future revisions).
