Kinetic Energy Transfer and Coherent Structure Formation Across Astrophysical Scales in the SP3 Framework
Abstract
In classical treatments, kinetic energy (KE) in astrophysical systems is dissipated throughshocks, radiation, or virialization. However, many observed structures—tidal tails, spiralarms, filamentary nebulae, photon rings, and cosmic filaments—exhibit long-livedcoherence that resists explanation as stochastic dissipation products. In this paper, weextend the SP3 (Saturation–Phase–Memory) framework to show that, across a wide rangeof stress regimes, KE is transferred into space-phase rather than matter, where it is storedas phase stiffness and memory. This transfer produces coherent geometric structures thatfunction as stress-resolution pathways. Binary capture, galaxy collisions, nebular expansion, cluster mergers, and large-scale structure formation are shown to be manifestations of thesame underlying process operating at different scales.
