BEEMOLOGY I Microphysics of Irreversible Causal Capacity
Abstract
This work develops a foundational ontology for causal structure underlying physical reality, formulated within the BEEM framework. Rather than proposing a phenomenological cosmological model or a modification of established physical theories, the paper offers an ontological reinterpretation of spacetime, gravitation, and irreversibility in terms of a primitive structural quantity termed causal capacity (κ\kappaκ). Causal capacity is introduced as a bounded, non-propagating, dimensionless ontological measure governing the ability of a causal network to sustain reconfiguration under stress. At the at the foundational (ontological) microphysical level, we formulate local balance relations and a diffusion-type constitutive structure for causal capacity transfer. These relations encode intrinsic ontological irreversibility, distinct from thermodynamic or statistical irreversibility, and serve as structural constraints rather than empirical dynamical laws. Within this framework, classical singularities and global cyclicity are excluded at the ontological level, while phenomena such as horizons and black-hole thermodynamics emerge as effective boundary descriptions of causal failure. No modification of quantum mechanics, general relativity, or Λ\LambdaΛCDM phenomenology is proposed. Instead, the framework is intended to clarify the ontological commitments implicit in existing formalisms and to provide conceptual grounding for irreversible structure without introducing new particles, forces, or observational predictions. Full phenomenological modeling, observational benchmarks, and cosmological applications are explicitly deferred to subsequent work. Manifesto/Scope Declaration This work is foundational and ontological, not phenomenological. It does not propose a competing cosmological model, alternative quantum theory, or modified gravitational dynamics. Its aim is to clarify the ontological structure underlying causal relations assumed by existing physical formalisms. Causal capacity (κ\kappaκ) is treated as an ontological primitive, not a measurable field, particle, or force. Irreversibility is introduced as a structural feature of causal ordering, not as thermodynamic entropy production. Standard quantum mechanics, general relativity, and cosmological phenomenology are assumed to remain empirically adequate. Mathematical relations in this work express ontological constraints, not predictive evolution equations. Horizons, singularity avoidance, and black-hole thermodynamics are interpreted as emergent boundary descriptions of causal structure. No observational predictions or experimental tests are claimed at this stage. The success of the framework is evaluated by conceptual coherence, explanatory unification, and ontological clarity, not empirical novelty. Version note (v1.2):This revision incorporates substantial clarification of ontological scope, terminology, and non-claims following extensive conceptual review. The technical and mathematical structure of the framework remains unchanged.
