Noetic Diffusion Theory: A Rhythmic, Geometric Framework for Neural State Reconstruction and Conscious Correlates
Abstract
Noetic Diffusion Theory (NDT) models neural dynamics as rhythmically guided denoising on a learned manifold. We introduce the Meta–Noetic Diffusion Model (MNDM), linking neural rhythms to information geometry. To measure this, we present the Noetic Atlas and Health Index (NDHI), quantifying manifold topology and metastability. NDT yields falsifiable predictions for sleep architecture and psychiatric disorders, providing a geometry-first framework that complements predictive coding and establishes specific geometric signatures for clinical analysis and "geometric pharmacology".
