Trembling Spacetime - A Conceptual Introduction to Geometry, Motion, and Matter Beyond Quantum Postulates
Abstract
Modern physics explains nature with extraordinary accuracy, yet it does so through a collection of principles that often appear conceptually disconnected.Quantum mechanics, relativity, particle physics, and cosmology each succeed on their own terms, but many of their foundational assumptions are introduced as axioms rather than explained. This book explores a different possibility: that many of the principles we treat as fundamental may instead arise from spacetime geometry itself.Trembling Spacetime offers an accessible introduction to Trembling Spacetime Relativity Theory (TSRT), a geometric framework in which spacetime is not perfectly smooth, but possesses a bounded, causal microstructure. From this single requirement, that spacetime must preserve causal order and monotonic proper time, emerge inertia, gravitational mass, least action, energy-mass and action-frequency relations, quantization, atomic spectra, particle properties, nuclear stability, cosmic expansion, and the arrow of time.Written without equations and intended for readers with a solid background in physics, the book contrasts standard formulations with a geometric viewpoint that emphasizes mechanism and coherence over formal postulate. Quantum mechanics and relativity are not replaced, but reinterpreted as effective descriptions of deeper geometric constraints.Rather than proposing new particles, forces, or speculative ingredients, Trembling Spacetime asks how far careful reasoning about spacetime itself can take us, and invites the reader to reconsider how much of physics may ultimately be explained by geometry.
