SR–SE: An Information-Theoretic Framework for Phase Stability, Fundamental Constants, and Emergent Gravity
Abstract
This paper introduces the SR-SE (Saturation of Reality Structural Entropy) framework, a theoretical model in which physical reality emerges from the saturation of fundamental informational degrees of freedom. The transition from quantum to classical states, specific fundamental constants, and large-scale gravitational phenomena are interpreted as stability conditions arising near a universal informational threshold linked to the Landauer limit. Key Highlights of the Framework: Algorithmic Unification: Standard Schrödinger dynamics are supplemented with a stabilizing nonlinear contribution near informational saturation, formulated via a modified Master Equation. Fundamental Constants: A parameter-free geometric interpretation of the fine-structure constant is derived from critical informational density and a dimensionless stability factor. Cosmology: Dark energy is interpreted as the physical energy cost required to maintain spacetime as a stable informational archive. The framework predicts a dark energy density of approximately 0.685, in agreement with Planck observations. Falsifiability: The SR-SE framework is experimentally testable, with specific signatures predicted in Rb/Cs interferometry and mesoscopic vacuum interactions. This theory provides a minimal, internally coherent approach to understanding how quantum stability and cosmological parameters emerge from a single principle of informational saturation.
