Abstract

This hypothesis serves as the connective tissue between the empirical precision of Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) and the informational intuition of Verlinde’s Emergent Gravity. While MOND successfully maps the anomalous acceleration threshold $𝑎_0$ observed in galactic rotation, it lacks a foundational physical "why." Conversely, Verlinde’s framework provides the "why" by treating the ‘elasticity’ of gravity as a manifestation of informational entropy, yet it struggles to account for local kinematic outliers. This hypothesis synthesises these views by identifying $𝑎_0$ not as a rigid law of space, but as the restorative tension of an informational mesh. By introducing the Identity Coefficient ($\chi$) the hypothesis provides the necessary "toggle" that limits this emergent force to coherent systems, effectively grounding Verlinde’s abstract entropy in MOND’s measurable reality, and predicting gravitational astronomical phenomena more successfullly than current models.
