Paradox Libraries: Hierarchical Arithmetic for Zero and Infinity Operations in C++
Abstract
Paradox Libraries provide C++ implementation of hierarchical arithmetic for handling zero and infinity operations without information loss. Unlike IEEE 754 floating-point, the library prevents NaN generation for 0/0 and ∞/∞, preserves magnitude through multiplication/division by zero, and supports multiple levels of infinity. Based on the "Absolute (A)" concept where numbers are represented as X × Aⁿ, operations modify n while keeping X intact. This enables reversible computations with singularities. Features: reversible zero operations, hierarchical infinities, STL compatibility, no NaN generation. Applications: scientific computing, machine learning, computer graphics.
