Abstract

Post-Horizon Instrumental Lineage — 4 August 2026 This record forms part of the Post-Horizon Instrumental Lineage of the Architecture of Limitation research programme. The designation and conditions governing subsequent review are established in K1 Open Concordance Phase: A Structured Validation and Evidence-Alignment Programme for the Open Research Release of AoLOS, v1.0, 2 August 2026, doi:10.5281/zenodo.21758275. The record is retained unchanged as evidence of the conditions, tools, concepts, and architectural pressures through which the programme developed. Inclusion in this lineage does not imply retrospective K1 validation or completion of article-level concordance; any proposition-specific qualification, reanalysis, companion publication, or unresolved pressure will be recorded separately through the phase’s declared review process. This governance note provides an interim architectural clarification of the present relationship between K0, public AoL research kernels, AoLOS runtime operation, independent development, and recognised AoL lineage. It supersedes the governance note published on 4 January 2026, which reflected the pre-horizon phase of AoLOS and described v43 as the evaluative core of an emerging AI governance system. Subsequent development established AoLOS as a modular observational and open research stack capable of public operation without K0. The note confirms that K0 is continuous with the original MD_v1_43 architectural atlas, now packaged as K0_v43.yaml for controlled diagnostic use under stewardship. K0 is not a hidden runtime dependency, an autonomous certifying authority, or a necessary component of ordinary public experimentation. Public kernels operate through their own declared constraints, while researchers may independently develop apertures and modules without access to K0. K0 becomes relevant where official AoL lineage recognition or K0-assisted architectural verification is sought. Such verification remains a stewarded process in which K0 functions as a diagnostic reference rather than an autonomous decision-maker. This document corrects the public architectural description pending professional intellectual-property advice and the later formal revision of SP-43. It does not disclose K0, grant access to K0, provide legal permissions for released materials, or constitute a public certification standard.
