Abstract

Volume 3: The Memory & The Gatekeeper (Pages 936–1654) A machine that cannot remember is useless. A machine that cannot protect itself is dangerous. We have built a living, thinking application, but it has a fatal flaw: Amnesia. Volume 3 is where we solve the problem of Persistence. This is the heaviest leg of the journey; we are no longer just writing logic, we are architecting reality. Inside Volume III: The Database Dilemma: Choosing between NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL. The Bridge: Using Mongoose and Sequelize to talk to the database. The Gatekeeper: Sessions, Cookies, and comprehensive Authentication. The Messenger: Sending automated emails and handling advanced security logic. Note: This record contains the metadata and DOI for citation purposes.
