PROJECT PROMETEO: Multi-Mission Solar Gravitational Lens Constellation at 550AU
Abstract
This document describes an engineering-feasible concept for evolving the PROMETEO architecturefrom a single deep-space observatory into a coordinated constellation of 4–6 spacecraft operatingin the Solar Gravitational Lens focal region near 550AU. The concept emphasizes fixed Suntarget pointing (no repointing) and uses controlled lateral offsets, background calibration in thesolar corona/scattering halo, and multi-point geometry to enable 3D reconstruction of the lensingamplification field.
