Topological Order Beyond Constants A: When Topological Order Meets Transcendental Numbers
Abstract
This paper systematically explores the theoretical possibility of constructinga novel class of topological ordersTranscendental Topological Order (TTO)withinthe modern framework of topological order theory. The characterization of conventional topological orders relies on the quantum dimensions of anyons, whichare typically algebraic numbers. This paper proposes that by extending the mathematical foundation of quantum dimensions to transcendental numbers (such asthe natural constants e and the circular ratio π), a series of entirely new physicalbehaviors can be derived within the existing framework of topological emergencecriteria (structural stability, information efficiency, and dynamical accessibility). These include quantized jumps in structural stability, quasi-periodic resonances ininformation efficiency with system size, and tendencies toward time crystallizationin dynamical processes. This paper aims to establish a rigorous, self-consistentlogical foundation for this theoretical concept, clarify its mathematical basis andphysical implications, and discuss its potential challenges to the existing classification system of topological phases of matter. All derivations are based on establishedphysical theories and mathematical concepts.
