Abstract

Achilles data set — achilles-data-v1 The Achilles data set, published as a standalone release and versioned independently of the Achilles code. The pip wheel ships no heavy data (the data/ tree is ~227 MB while PyPI's has a 100 MB per-file limit), so it is downloaded on demand from this release, with explicit user consent. Assets | Asset | Description | |-------|-------------| | achilles-data.tar.gz | The full data/ tree (extracts to data/…), ~183 MB compressed | | achilles-data.tar.gz.sha256 | SHA-256 checksum, verified automatically before extraction | What's included configurations/ — nuclear configuration inputs (~168 MB) Spectral_Functions/ — spectral-function tables (~16 MB) MesonBaryonAmplitudes/ — meson–baryon amplitude data (~4.8 MB) densities/, default/ — nuclear density profiles and default cards Spectral/interference tables (info_*_pke.data, info_intf_*.data), interaction rule sets (Rules.yml, hA_Rules.yml, decays.yml, Particles.yml), and supporting data (GeantData.hdf5, dcc_EW.dat, optical-potential and density files) Usage pip install achilles achilles-data -y get # download + verify + extract into the user cache achilles-data status # show pin, cache location, and presence The data is fetched automatically on first use; achilles-data get just does it ahead of time. Override the cache location with ACHILLES_DATA_DIR, or pin a different data release with ACHILLES_DATA_RELEASE. Verifying integrity The downloader checks the tarball against the published .sha256 before extracting. To verify manually: sha256sum -c achilles-data.tar.gz.sha256
