DETERMINATION OF THE CENTER OF GRAVITY AND MOMENT OF INERTIA OF MOVING LINKS OF A MULTI-CONTOUR CRANK–SLOTTED MECHANISM
Abstract
The given article presents the results of studies on determining the centers of mass, forces, and moments of inertia of the moving links, in particular the oscillating stone and the rotating slotted link of the multi-contour crank–slotted mechanism (MZK) of the vertical-spindle cotton harvesting apparatus of a cotton harvester (CHM). This mechanism is designed to create favorable technological conditions for the process of collecting raw cotton from opened cotton bolls when the CHM operates at increased speeds. Using methods from the theory of mechanisms and machines, as well as calculations, numerical values of forces and moments of inertia of the links—the oscillating stone and the rotating slotted link of the multi-contour crank–slotted MZK-were determined for the most heavily loaded position in the entry section of the working chamber of the cotton harvester, corresponding to a crank rotation angle of φ = 30°. The obtained results will be used in further kinematic and kinetostatic studies of this mechanism.
