A MODEL OF FORCED VIBRATIONS OF A THIN PLATE WITH SIMPLY SUPPORTED EDGES
Abstract
This paper investigates the forced vibration behavior of a thin elastic plate with simply supported edges subjected to an external harmonic excitation. The governing equation of motion is derived within the framework of classical plate theory, taking into account the corresponding boundary conditions. The problem is solved using the method of separation of variables in combination with Fourier series expansion. The obtained results enable a detailed analysis of the influence of external force parameters on the vibration frequencies and amplitudes of the plate.
