Seven-Day Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, Bibliometrics, and Responsible AI in Scientific Research
Abstract
This seven-day Faculty Development Programme (16–22 February 2026) provides intensive, hands-on training in systematic review, meta-analysis, bibliometrics, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in scientific research. Jointly organised by the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata, the Indian Statistical Institute (Kolkata), and Presidency University (Kolkata), the programme focuses on building rigorous, transparent, and reproducible research practices. The curriculum covers PRISMA-aligned review methodologies, protocol development, advanced literature searching, data extraction, critical appraisal, effect size estimation, and research mapping, using open-source tools and workflows (R, Python, VOSviewer, Biblioshiny, ASReview). Designed for faculty, doctoral and postgraduate researchers, librarians, and research support professionals across disciplines, the programme integrates methodological training with research integrity and responsible AI to support high-quality scholarly communication.
