Platform Convergence and Urban Transformation in the Global Mobility-as-a-Service Market
Abstract
The global Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) market is rapidly emerging as a foundational pillar of next-generation urban transportation systems. Valued at USD 110.21 billion in 2024, the market is expected to reach USD 134.27 billion by 2025 and expand substantially to USD 360.4 billion by 2030, registering a strong CAGR of 21.8% from 2025 to 2030. MaaS integrates public transit, shared mobility, micromobility, and digital platforms into unified, user-centric ecosystems that enable seamless trip planning, booking, and payment. This manuscript examines the structural evolution of the MaaS industry, focusing on digital platform integration, electrification of shared fleets, artificial intelligence adoption, demand-responsive transport, and governance frameworks. It further analyzes market segmentation, regional dynamics, competitive strategies, and investment pathways that are shaping the long-term scalability of MaaS. The study positions MaaS as a strategic enabler of sustainable, efficient, and inclusive urban mobility.
