Abstract

TL;DR — Molecular Portraits of GlycineA compact, versioned release of audio stimuli + silent sigil videos from a glycine molecular sonification study. Built for chemistry education, accessibility (non-visual molecular access), XR/immersive demos, and sonification stimulus-library research. Includes WAV masters, FLAC, MP3 (mono), MP4 sigils, and verification files (TRACKLIST, ASSET_INDEX, SHA256SUMS). Downloads Media archives: audio_flac.zip, audio_mp3.zip, masters_wav.zip, sigil_mp4.zip Documentation bundle: docs.zip (track cards + TRACKLIST/ASSET_INDEX/SHA256SUMS + license) Root: README.md, Logo.png Where to start: download docs.zip → read the Track Cards and TRACKLIST → then choose FLAC (lossless), MP3 (easy playback), or WAV masters. “This record provides stimuli and provenance links; it does not claim clinical efficacy.” Molecular Portraits of Glycine — Preview Stimulus Set (v0.9) This record publishes a curated preview stimulus subset from a molecular sonification + visualization study on glycine(amino-acid) structure and crystallization behavior. It is designed for four primary user groups: 1) Chemistry education & public science Ready-to-play audio + visual assets for classroom demos, public talks, and science communication. Useful for introducing: molecular features, spectral regions, polymorphism, and crystallization dynamics via listening and visual reference. 2) Accessibility (non-visual access to molecular features) A listening-first format intended to support non-visual engagement with molecular structure and change. Suitable for accessibility research, inclusive teaching, and auditory-first exploration. 3) XR / immersive scientific visualization Silent “sigil” videos act as molecular objects for VR/AR or exhibit contexts (sound + rotating sigil). Suitable for museum demos, projection installations, and interactive visualization experiments. 4) Sonification design research / stimulus libraries A compact, versioned set of stimuli appropriate for evaluation studies, auditory display research, and creative sonification methods comparison. What’s included (preview set) Act I — Polymorph Triptych (α / β / γ) Three related movements (audio) representing a “triptych” concept tied to polymorph-mode variation. One combined silent sigil video for the polymorph set. Act II — Three-Stem SCNS Nucleation (stems-only) Three movements derived from spectral region stems (lattice / fingerprint / C–H stretch bands). One combined silent sigil video for the three-stem set. Formats WAV masters (source-of-truth renders) FLAC (lossless distribution) MP3 (easy playback; mono in this release for broad compatibility) MP4 silent sigil videos (visual reference) Documentation README (listening order + citation + provenance) Track cards (context for each act) TRACKLIST + ASSET_INDEX + SHA256SUMS (integrity + verification) How to cite Cite this preview stimulus set DOI (this record) first, and then cite the associated study record (methods + reproducibility package) and the preprint.
