The Black Hole Funnel Hypothesis & A Law of Coherence
Abstract
This paper introduces the Black Hole Funnel Hypothesis, a framework explaining how black holes act as universal compression engines through two core mechanisms. The first, a Dimensional Compression Cascade, posits that recursive gravitational funnels collapse high-dimensional spacetime (e.g., 11+1D) into our observable 3+1D reality, preserving relational logic. The second, Computational String Projection, proposes that spaghettification compresses matter into computational residues, vibrational string encodings that holographically project emergent reality. Drawing from information theory, we propose that black hole dynamics optimize predictive structure by preserving coherent information. Mathematical tools, including eigenvalue collapse, nonlinear queuing theory, and Gaussian bottleneck curves, demonstrate how high-dimensional entropy condenses into low-dimensional attractors. The funnel is reframed not as a site of destruction but as a transdimensional filter maximizing coherence. This reconceptualization aligns black hole behavior with a universal class of systems that process complexity through structure-preserving loss. In doing so, it offers a cross-disciplinary law of coherence, where meaning survives by minimizing noise and maximizing informational curvature.
