DIGITAL JOURNALISM AND INFORMATION SECURITY: CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS IN THE CONTEMPORARY MEDIA ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The digitalization of journalism has fundamentally transformed the production, dissemination, and consumption of news. While digital platforms allow for immediate information sharing and wider audience engagement, they also create significant risks regarding information security, including misinformation, cyberattacks, and unauthorized access to sensitive data. This paper examines the relationship between digital journalism and information security, analyzes the main threats, and evaluates international strategies to ensure secure and reliable media content. Through detailed analysis of contemporary trends and global case studies, the study highlights the need for technological safeguards, professional ethics, and media literacy to maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of digital journalism.
