Abstract

Limited bioavailability remains a major challenge in drug development, often reducing the therapeutic effectiveness of pharmaceutical compounds. Factors such as poor solubility, low chemical stability, and rapid metabolism significantly contribute to this problem. thereby enhancing drug protection and absorption. This review provides a concise and systematic overview of liposomal systems, with particular emphasis on their role in improving drug stability and bioavailability. Key aspects including liposome structure, formulation techniques, and mechanisms underlying stability enhancement are discussed. Recent advances, such as surface-modified and targeted liposomes, are highlighted for their ability to prolong circulation time and improve therapeutic efficiency. Additionally, the advantages, limitations, and future potential of liposomal formulations are outlined. Overall, liposomal systems represent a promising and versatile platform for enhane drug delivery .
