Nuclear and Atomic Puzzles Resolved by Boundary Geometry: Nine Predictions from Information-Pressure Theory
Abstract
Description We extend Information-Pressure Theory (IPT) to resolve nine long-standing puzzles in nuclear, atomic, and particle physics using only two geometric inputs: the color number Nᶜ = 3 from the M₃(ℂ) algebra factor and the Euler characteristic χ = 2 from the S² causal boundary. The nine puzzles resolved are: Nuclear magic numbers {2, 8, 20, 28, 50, 82, 126} — derived from χ = 2 spin-orbit coupling on S² boundary modes Cosmological lithium-7 depletion — the factor-of-3 BBN discrepancy explained by 1/Nᶜ suppression at the (Z,N) = (3,4) charge-color resonance Beryllium-8 decay width Γ = 5.57 eV — derived from (Nᶜ+1, Nᶜ+1) = (4,4) double spacetime saturation with π⁻⁸ coherence suppression Hoyle state energy ΔE = 0.379 MeV — the "anthropic coincidence" of carbon production reduced to geometric necessity Periodic table limit Z_max = 118 — derived from slot orthogonality: s! − χ = 120 − 2 = 118 Proton stability — absolute stability from SU(2)_L gauge closure in the IPT-derived Standard Model Charge quantization |Qₚ| = |Qₑ| — exact equality from anomaly cancellation with Nᶜ = 3 Color confinement — only color-singlet states are boundary-admissible via the SU(3) singlet projector Lepton mass hierarchy and Koide relation Q = 2/3 — derived from boundary mode counting to 99.9% accuracy All results derive from the boundary algebra 𝒜_F = ℂ ⊕ ℍ ⊕ M₃(ℂ) selected by the BSCT/BRT principles. Average agreement with experiment exceeds 99%. The paper includes 197 verification tests confirming all mathematical derivations.
