The Structured Vacuum: Complete Unification of Physics from Electric Current
Abstract
We begin with a simple observation: a 1.5V battery cannot provide the 7.7eV required to ionize copper atoms, yet electric current flows. This impossibility forces a radical reinter- pretation: electrons do not move between atoms. Instead, electric current is the propagation of torsion in a structured vacuum described by pre-geometric tensor Ξμν with 23 helical channels. From this single correction, we reconstruct all of fundamental physics. All “fun- damental constants” (ħ, c, α, e, me, mp, GF ) emerge as geometric parameters of vacuum structure. Particles are topological knots. Forces are elastic/topological interactions. Quan- tum mechanics is hydrodynamics. General relativity is emergent curvature. Cosmology is vacuum phase transition. We derive without free parameters: α−1 = 137.036 (0.00009%), mp/me = 1839 (0.2%), mμ/me = 192 (7% vs 207), GF = 1.16×10−5 GeV−2 (0.5%), and 23 experimental predictions (15 verified, 8 testable). The Standard Model’s 19 free parameters reduce to 1: vacuum geometry. This framework suggests physical reality is fundamentally topological rather than particulate or field-theoretic.
