Discrete Geometrodynamics Regularization of Einstein-Rosen Bridges via Optimal Packing Topology
Abstract
In 1935, Einstein and Rosen proposed a geometric interpretation of elementaryparticles as “bridges” connecting two sheets of spacetime, aiming to eliminate pointmasses and singularities. However, within continuous differential geometry, themodel lacked an intrinsic scale and suffered from divergent self-energies.We revisit this program through Ontological Resolution Theory (ORT), whichposits spacetime discreteness based on the finite information capacity of physicalobservers. The optimal packing of Planck-scale cells (hexagonal in 2D, Kepler in3D) generates an irreducible geometric defect (π − 3).Within this framework: (1) the Einstein-Rosen bridge is modeled as a topologicallattice defect; (2) the Coulomb singularity is regularized at the reduced Comptonwavelength λC = ℏ/mc; (3) particle mass is identified with the finite self-energy ofthe defect; (4) charge quantization follows from discrete flux counting. This version (5.0) is aligned with ORT Canon v1.3, using consistent axiom num-bering, the canonical geometric invariant Z, and explicit epistemic status labels.Status: Research program. Theorems, hypotheses, and conjectures are explic-itly distinguished throughout.
