Abstract

This paper proposes a Unified Theory of Evolutionary Consciousness Dynamics (UT-ECD), an integrative framework that reconceptualizes consciousness, causality, and time within a single causal–temporal architecture. The central claim is that consciousness is not merely a byproduct of evolutionary or historical processes, but functions as an active generative causal structure whose recursive dynamics produce irreversible accumulation and temporal ordering. UT-ECD advances four interdependent components: Evolutionary Consciousness Streams (ECS), which describe interior orientations as causal biases; the Evolutionary Psyche Loop (EPL), which formalizes recursive causality and accumulation; Generative Temporal Phases (GTP), which modulate the rhythm of causally generated temporality; and Evolutionary Spiral Dynamics (ESD), which derive spiral geometry as the minimal consequence of recursive causality under irreversibility. The framework rejects both linear-progressive and cyclical models of evolution and history, reconceptualizing time as an emergent property of asymmetric causal transformation rather than as a background parameter. UT-ECD is presented as a theory-driven, non-teleological, and falsifiable framework, accompanied by explicit empirical predictions and criteria for potential refutation, particularly in relation to archaeological tempo and historical divergence.
