Microscopic Origin of Gravitational Constant and Explanation for the EM-Gravity Hierarchy Problem
Abstract
Abstract: Experimental measurements of the gravitational constant G have long exhibited systematic discrepancies between different apparatuses and methods that are difficult to fully reconcile. Guided by the principle of free-energy minimization under the second law of thermodynamics, we introduce a coarse-grained Metagraviton (MG) formulation for atoms and binding energies. Within a Gravitational Entanglement Cage (GEC), we separate "entanglement regulation" from "energy-transmission execution" as a dual-channel framework. Via a dual-threshold linkage between an atomic-scale carrier acceleration w₀ and a metagraviton-scale revelation threshold W₀, together with the integer threshold structure implied by the Nine Gates, we formulate the Two-Threshold Selection Theorem (TTST): under the Zero-Field Equilibrium (ZFE) isotropic critical background χ → 0, there exists a unique geometric normalization coefficient K(0) = √3, yielding the classical critical value: G₀ = √3 · (ħc / m_p²) · α¹⁸ The intensity scaling is encoded in integer powers of the fine-structure constant α (α⁹ for a single body, and the two-body square closure α¹⁸). To eliminate any composition-dependent degrees of freedom and avoid any post hoc numerical alignment, we use the proton mass (m_p) as the baseline mass scale throughout the main results. Any apparatus-, environment-, or sampling-window-dependent deviations are treated only at the metrological level via the proposed two-factor extrapolation/normalization scheme, rather than being absorbed into the closed-form expression for G₀. We then extend the framework with a minimal quantum/open-system completion: rather than quantizing spacetime, we quantize only the matter-side structures already implicit in MG (threshold intensity, coarse graining, and GEC selection) in a linear, state-independent form. This makes explicit the RMS → mean step and inserts the universal factor r(ν) = ⟨√I²⟩ / √(⟨I²⟩) ∈ (0,1], so in an open-system measurement context one may parameterize an effective reference point as: G_iso = r(ν) · G₀ where r(ν) ≤ 1 is an apparatus/environment/window dependent mapping factor. We do not fix ν here and do not use r(ν) as an after-the-fact knob for numerical alignment; instead, ν (and thus r(ν)) should be independently constrained under a unified experimental protocol in future work. The same closed form turns the EM–gravity hierarchy into a dimensionless closure check. From α_G^(pp) ≡ G₀m_p² / (ħc), we obtain: α_G^(pp) = √3 · r(ν) · α¹⁸ (Proton-scale limit m → m_p: α_G^(pp) = √3 · α¹⁸), so the dominant suppression remains the discrete α¹⁸ dictated by Nine-Gates counting and two-body closure. Finally, we view currently published values as a family of measurements G_meas(χ) taken under specific apparatus geometries and environmental anisotropies. After the quantum refinement locks the isotropic value at the high-precision level, the geometric/anisotropy factor K(χ) is relegated to a weak but falsifiable correction: G_meas(χ) ≈ K(χ)·G (or η(χ) := K(χ)/K(0)). From an open-system viewpoint, the measurement interaction and its back-action may also induce tiny shifts relative to the underlying universal value; ideally such effects should be derived from a microscopic apparatus–matter model and translated into a calculable prediction for K(χ). Stance of this paper: we do not modify the existing causal and conservation structures of General Relativity (GR) or Quantum Field Theory (QFT); the discrete closure (through ν) and the residual K(χ) dependence provide explicit, testable failure modes.
