Laboratory Phenomenology of Stochastic Harmony: Precision Gravity Experiments and Pseudo-Goldstone Bosons
Abstract
The Stochastic Harmony Framework predicts testable laboratory signatures beyond astrophysical scales. Spontaneous torsion symmetry breaking at GUT phase transition (Tc∼10¹⁶ GeV) produces pseudo-Goldstone boson φ with ultra-light mass mφ∼10⁻²⁶ eV (Compton wavelength λ∼10⁷ km). This scalar mediates Yukawa-type fifth force with coupling α∼10⁻¹⁵ at sub-millimeter scales, currently unconstrained but accessible to next-generation torsion pendulums, Eötvös experiments, and atom interferometers. We calculate expected force deviations from Newtonian gravity, map exclusion regions in (mφ, α) parameter space using current limits, project sensitivity for proposed upgrades, and identify optimal experimental configurations. Laboratory detection would provide model-independent evidence for torsion structure independent of astrophysical interpretations. Combined with astrophysical tests, laboratory measurements offer comprehensive validation spanning 15 orders of magnitude in length scale—all achievable with existing technology at
