Abstract

Chris (Christiaan) Prinsloo is an independent researcher and systems architect working at the intersection of trust, governance, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. His research focuses on how trust can be formalised as a verifiable system primitive across socio-technical environments, with applications in financial infrastructure, identity systems, AI governance, and cross-border institutional coordination. He develops mathematical, architectural, and policy-aligned frameworks that bridge abstract theory with real-world implementation, particularly in contexts where existing institutional trust models break down or fail to scale. His work explores directed acyclic graph (DAG)-based trust representations, reproducibility in complex systems, and the translation of legal and ethical norms into machine-verifiable constructs.Chris publishes open working papers and technical specifications aimed at standardisation, peer scrutiny, and practical adoption, and engages with multidisciplinary collaborators across mathematics, computer science, economics, and public policy. His current research agenda prioritises observability, interoperability, and governance integrity in emerging digital systems.
