Abstract

Title: From Chaos to Crystal: The Physics of Realization "To learn is to burn energy; To understand is to cool the resulting chaos into a crystal." Abstract: This dissertation proposes a thermodynamic framework for cognition, defining neural computation not as simple information processing, but as a localized reduction of entropy (ΔS < 0) governed by the laws of heat transfer. We hypothesize that the subconscious acts as a "Cold Body"—a high-inertia thermal reservoir that maintains low-entropy priors against stochastic fluctuations. This Present was inspired by the thirst for the fundamental dynamics of "thinking", "Understanding", "Realizing", and "subconscious" of any being. We construct with Informational Entropy as the foundation. To validate this theoretical construct, a High-Fidelity Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was conducted on a volumetrically discretized neural domain. The study employed three levels of simulation: Static Equilibrium: Modeled the metabolic cost of sustained focus using the steady-state Poisson formulation, identifying a stable high-energy core (T_eq approx. 22.7) sustained by boundary dissipation. Transient Dynamics: Modeled the "realization event" using the time-dependent diffusion equation, demonstrating a strictly monotonic shock-decay curve that mirrors the collapse of neural uncertainty. Biophysical Validation: Utilized the Pennes Bioheat Equation on a spherical manifold to quantify the thermodynamic signature of "insight". The results resolve a critical paradox in the thermodynamics of thought: while the reduction of information entropy must release latent heat (Landauer's Principle), simulations demonstrate that physiological blood perfusion clamps this thermal transient to a biologically safe magnitude of ΔT approx. 29 mK (0.029℃). This establishes a quantitative link between the metabolic cost of neural computation and the thermodynamic stability of belief structures.
