tz-dev/PMS-EDEN: PMS–EDEN v2.1 — Structural Viability Clarified
Abstract
PMS–EDEN v2.1 — Structural Viability Clarified This release completes a major methodological consolidation of PMS–EDEN. While earlier versions established a genesis-neutral operator grammar, v2.1 makes structural viability boundaries explicit without introducing moral judgment, psychological explanation, or gender essentialism. The result is a framework that remains fully descriptive while no longer being agnostic about sustainability. 🔧 What Changed (High-Level) v2.1 introduces a second, non-negotiable axis: Genesis explains how drift arises. Viability evaluates whether it can be sustained. This separation is now enforced throughout all chapter closures, appendices, and the glossary. ✅ Key Additions 1. Explicit Viability Verdicts Every chapter closure now contains an explicit non-moral viability assessment, including the core clarification: Persistent cost externalization is not a moral failure, but it is a structural failure of adult reciprocity under PMS. Neutral description no longer permits "tragic but unavoidable" readings. 2. Cost Location Discipline All stabilizations and drift points now name where costs land: integration costs (Σ) coordination costs exposure costs (Ω under Θ) stabilization costs (Α) Vague formulations ("costs distribute unevenly") are explicitly disallowed. 3. Structural Cost Markers Closures now include explicit drift cost alerts highlighting where: ongoing costs are offloaded onto one role-position while the opposing position retains insulation, early closure, or exit capacity These markers are descriptive, operator-based, and non-intentional. 4. Anti-Misread Guards Each closure actively blocks normalization readings such as: one-sided endurance = maturity dignity = cost immunity stability = justification Structural persistence is no longer mistaken for acceptability. 5. Binding Gate Formalization (§12) Application validity is now strictly gated: PMS descriptions may bind only under: Χ (distance) + reversibility + D (dignity-in-practice) Any coercive, irreversible, or dignity-suspending use of PMS vocabulary is explicitly invalidated as PMS application. 6. EDEN-MAP Protocol Finalized (§15) The methodological appendix now provides: a scene-packet standard operator-mapped core questions (Q1–Q6) a one-page synthesis format a diagnostics-to-action firewall EDEN-MAP is explicitly descriptive unless validity gates are satisfied. 7. Glossary Hardened (§16) All terminology now includes: non-psychological clauses non-normative constraints explicit misuse safeguards Terms with everyday moral connotations (e.g. maturity, humiliation, dignity) are strictly constrained to structural meanings only. 8. Boundary Conditions & Alternatives (§17–18) The paper now explicitly states: where PMS–EDEN applies weakly or not at all multiple sufficient alternative explanations no exclusivity or totalizing claims This prevents regime overreach and preserves multi-causality discipline. 🚫 What This Release Explicitly Does Not Do No moral condemnation No person diagnosis No intent attribution No ideological claim No prescriptive authority without the binding gate No glorification of sacrifice as maturity 🎯 Why v2.1 Matters v2.1 closes a common failure mode of "neutral" frameworks: Describing asymmetry without clarifying who pays for it. PMS–EDEN now remains: neutral about genesis, precise about cost location, and firm about viability limits. The framework can no longer be used to justify endurance, asymmetry, or depletion by rhetorical neutrality alone. 📌 Migration Note No operator definitions were changed. All changes concern closure discipline, cost visibility, and application validity. Earlier analyses remain readable, but closures that lack explicit viability statements are now considered structurally incomplete under v2.1 standards.
