Data used for the analysis presented in "Spectral analysis of Urvara-Yalode bright areas on Ceres suggests a new aromatic organic material and Fe-carbonate"
Abstract
This dataset contains the spectra used in the analysis of the associated manuscript. The data originate from the Visible and Infrared Spectrometer (VIR) onboard the Dawn spacecraft. The dataset includes: 1. Reflectance spectra of the 3 bright spots (BS1, BS2, BS3) identified in Yalode crater and 3 more spots in Urvara (site N, site A, site D) -> "bs1_data_err.txt" (e.g.) (1st column is wavelength in μm, 2nd column is reflectance data, 3rd column is errors) Denoised data Ground-corrected NOT photometrically corrected Bridged VIS-IR (only for BS1, BS2, BS3) Thermal emission removed Error bars provided The description of these steps is in the main text of the paper. 2. Simulated spectra -> "bs1_model.txt" (e.g.) (1st column is wavelength in μm, 2nd column is modeled reflectance) Reflectance spectra resulting from the unmixing model (Hapke). The endmembers used in the mixtures are those described as "Mix1" in the paper's text. 3. Albedo of the endmembers used in the mixture for the model or optical constants (when available) Magnetite_opt_const_Querry1985.txt = magnetite c_w_397f189.txt = NH4-montmorillonite k_AT-TXH-006heated_0-125.txt = antigorite c_w_MP-TXH-045_0-125.txt = MAC k_JB-JLB-608_75-125.txt = dolomite c_w_JB-JLB-E62.txt = siderite c_w_semiantracite_0_100.txt = semianthracite Intended use These data support the reproducibility of the results presented in the associated publication and allow further comparative or spectral analyses of VIR hyperspectral observations.
