Financial Autonomous AI Agents: Buying Services and Data Without Human Intervention
Abstract
Current AI agents are constrained by limited access to tools, data, and external services, that are often disparate and poorly integrated. We propose a decentralized ecosystem where companies and individuals can expose and monetize their digital services, methods, and data in a standardized format. This ecosystem enables AI agents to autonomously access these resources to solve complex problems. The use of blockchain and cryptocurrency microtransactions is critical: it allows agents to pay for services or data at very low costs (less than a cent), without relying on traditional financial systems. This model creates a viable economic dynamic for providers while granting agents unprecedented decision-making autonomy. This white paper explores the technological foundations, economic implications, and use cases of this approach, as well as the challenges related to standardization, large-scale adoption and validation of results.
