Artificial Intelligence and the Memory Paradox: How Machines Facilitate Organizational Forgetting
Abstract
This research investigates the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in managing "Organizational Forgetting." While organizations traditionally focus on knowledge accumulation, the modern volatile environment requires "Purposeful Forgetting" to maintain agility. This paper explores the "Memory Paradox"—the tension between AI’s infinite storage and its capacity for selective purging. Through a systematic review, we provide a framework for "Machine Unlearning" and "Algorithmic Purging" as strategic tools for modern management.
