Emergent Wavefunction Collapse
Abstract
In standard quantum mechanics, wavefunction collapse is introduced as an external postulate, incompatible with unitary dynamics. In this work we show that collapse emerges naturally fromthe Universal Ψ variational principle, without additional assumptions. The collapse is identifiedas a dynamical loss of metastability of superposed configurations under a closed, nonlinear, globalfunctional. Measurement is reinterpreted as a stability selection process in configuration space, andthe Born rule emerges from the geometry of attraction basins.
