Elektronische Laborbücher aus Sicht der Nutzenden - Ergebnisse einer Bedarfsanalyse in der Berlin University Alliance
Abstract
This report is also available in English. The Berlin University Alliance is dedicated to the development and advancement of tools, services and educational offerings specifically tailored to the needs of the alliance in the CARDS project. One sub-project deals with the piloting of electronic laboratory notebooks, which are not yet in widespread use at the alliance's institutes. The aim is to establish a permanent laboratory notebook for the Alliance's institutes which will be freely available to all researchers within the Alliance - once the completion of the project was successful. This should help the researcher to document their projects, experiments and research data in accordance with the FAIR principles and the requirements of research funding bodies. This requires a systematic survey of the needs of researchers within the Alliance in order to select a suitable electronic laboratory notebook. To this end, a needs survey was conducted, the results of which are presented in this publication. Together with an analysis of the available electronic laboratory notebooks, these findings will be incorporated into the development of an operating model for the implementation of a permanent solution.
